A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended for inclement or winter weather. You will be driving on two lane, winding mountain roads to get into Basye and Raccoon Rd. Please note that this unique treehouse setting has a steep grade and sits ~ 20 feet off the ground. The gravel driveway is a hard left turn into it. We recommend you drive pass the house, turn around in the cul de sac for a straight shot into the driveway. The third bedroom is a loft with 2 twin beds accessed by a ladder.

Basye was name by Martha Basye, who opened the original Byce resort in 1909. Their cementary can be seen on the side of the golf course. Basye was originally part of the Orkney Springs community. Basye is located in Shenandoah County, within 20 minutes of being able to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer, including wineries, beweries, hiking, golf, swimming, biking, skiing, and local historic sights, civil war museums and antique shopping. All homes are surrounded by trees set on sloping terrain providing privacy. There are no sidewalks. HOA does not permit parking in the streets. The driveway comfortably holds 2 vehicles, or 3 smaller sedans. You are just 1 mile from 4 Season Bryce Resort and Lake Laura.
